Cyber-crime is a major concern for UK businesses, with many experiencing attacks and facing significant financial and operational consequences.
One only needs to recall the issues being faced by M&S and the Co-op recently, and the huge ongoing costs to their business. Several other retailers have been hit in the recent past and reports suggest that 43% of businesses and 30% of charities have reported experiencing a cyber security breach or attack in the past year.
While awareness is increasing, particularly among larger businesses, many still need to improve their preparedness and response strategies. And many smaller organisations still struggle with awareness and being ready to respond appropriately, should an attack occur.
